Mission Shaped Ministry Course (MSM)
The msm Course seeks to equip leaders to lead their communities to become more missional in order to pioneer fresh expressions of church.
The course consists of 24 modules and is presented ecumenically in centers around South Africa.
Msm is a one-year, part-time course which takes people on a learning journey as part of a supportive community, training them for ministry in
fresh expressions of church. Run ecumenically, msm has been presented about 24 times in South Africa and Namibia with over 400 participants (over 115 times across the UK with more than 3,600 participants also in Australia and Germany and more).
A certificate is presented after the completion of 24 modules of the MSM Course.
Those who come on mission shaped ministry tend to do so:
as individuals and as teams;
as leaders and members, clergy and lay people, learning side by side;
as they prepare to start a fresh expression of church;
once they have already started a fresh expression of church;
because they want their existing church to be more mission-shaped.
